
Day 21: The Gift of Books! Everyone loves a good book. Today, give someone a great book to read with a personalized note in it. Leave it in their mailbox or if it’s a family member, leave it in their room or under their pillow. You can also send someone an audible book, so they can listen to it on their way to work. There are so many benefits to reading. A few of these benefits are knowledge, mental stimulation, stress reduction, memory improvement, vocabulary expansion, and increased focus. Whatever book you give, remember to always give from the heart. Maybe in your note, include why you chose the book and, more importantly, why you chose this book for him or her.
Day 22: The Gift of Hugs! This gift needs no explanation, as everyone loves a hug. It is the most comforting expression of love. According to Healthline, “Scientists say that giving another person support through touch can reduce the stress of the person being comforted. It can even reduce the stress of the person doing the comforting.” So today, give out free hugs to friends and family. Wrap your arms around your loved ones today and squeeze – it’s good for the mind, body, and spirit.
