Thanksgiving Challenge: Day 3

Oh the beauty of noise surrounds us. Today, on Day 3 of the Thanksgiving Challenge, let’s be thankful for the gift of sound. Take this moment to sit still, even if its just for one minute and – listen. What do you hear? Birds tweeting, car engines, fires crackling, pipes heating, wind blowing, rustling leaves, musicians singing, hunters shooting, horns blowing, people talking, God speaking and so many more sounds to be heard. The gift of sound is so precious, yet we never take the time to listen.

Don’t be annoyed when your kids are yelling, or their music is too loud. Appreciate it! When you have this perspective – life takes a new turn. Your attitudes changes, the lives around you change and your inner self changes. When we listen, God speaks.

What does the bible say about sounds…

He who has ears to hear, let him hear. – Matthew 11:15

Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God. – John 8:47

So today, go enjoy the sounds around you and be ever so thankful for this gift. BE THANKFUL FOR OUR HEARING AND THE GIFT OF SOUND.
