Today, on Day 11, let’s thank all of those who helped us grow. Of course, our families plant the seeds, but our teachers, mentors, pastors and coaches water the plants. We should all be thankful for these people in our lives, who often receive little credit, but are truly a part of who we are. Teachers help us understand the concepts of motion, the history of our forefathers, the lifecycles of all things, the creation of a sentence, the growth of the human body, supply and demand, the environment, music, art, and just about everything to help us grow mentally. Our coaches and physical education teachers have helped us understand the importance of physical movement, strategic plays, teamwork, wins and losses and most importantly, they have helped us understand the power of good sportsmanship.
Let’s not forget our pastors, priests and spiritual advisors who help us grow spiritually and understand the importance of God in our lives. They have taught us the difference between love and hate, God’s laws, creation, faith, grace, and most importantly the love of God….
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16
So today, let’s be thankful for our teachers, mentors, coaches, spiritual leaders and of course, God for helping us become the person we are today.
