Just Finish It!

As we are wrapping up 2020, there is no better time then now to finish it! If you want to feel accomplished, reduce anxiety, find happiness, or know success than finish that task (or goal) you have been delaying. Although you may not realize it, that task or goal keeps tugging on your subconscious, subtly reminding you, to close that chapter. Once you finally finish it, you become your own hero – leading to a happier you!

Moving forward to 2021, many of us will be setting new goals and resolutions. The purpose of these resolutions is to get us thinking, not only about our future, but about our now. Committing to those goals, and completing them will bring an inner feeling of accomplishment. Knowing that you set out to complete a task, and rose to the challenge creates an inner hero in you. A hero that needs to emerge.

Today, think about that task that you want to finish, yet keep on delaying. Is to write that book, create a budget, finish a class, join a bible study, or possibly something like complete your college applications, run a triathlon, hike the Appalachian, or organize your closets? Whatever that goal is – finish it!

What I find most helpful is knowing that God is here for us, and He can help us accomplish any task; if we ask for help and guidance. He helps motivate us, helps guide us and ultimately leads us to fulfillment. Ask God for help today, and as Nike says – ‘Just Do It.” Let today be that day to finish it, or at least set a plan of completion. If the task requires days, months or years to complete, than do something everyday that can help you reach that goal. Why? Because it will lead to a happier you and personal victory will be won. Don’t wait to the new year to begin, start today. Just Finish It!

What does the bible say about accomplishment – “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Phillipines 4:13

What does the Buddha say.. “What you are is what you have been. What you’ll be is what you do now.” Buddha. Be a doer – finish the task.
